Hey! It's @matt with another @write_as fedi account -- this time, for our upcoming https://Write.as/for/Teams service.
This is a new business-oriented service that we've been working on for the past few months and now plan to launch early this year.
It's built entirely on #WriteFreely, and gives organizations of all kinds a quiet space to write. Today, it's being used by non-profits, open source developers, and the Write.as team ourselves, as a calm alternative to chat and email.
The first #WriteFreely v0.12.0 release candidate is out now, and everyone is now up-to-date!
There are a ton of great new features, but for Teams users in particular, your organization can now log into your instance via Slack.
See more of what's new in the latest release notes:

We just pushed all the latest #WriteFreely changes on `develop` to all of our @writeas_teams users! This includes the new admin dashboard and better limits on the Reader (now number-based, not time-based, so you should see older posts in the Reader).
Now we're hoping to get more feedback on the service before it fully launches.
If you're interested in trying this out on your team and giving us your feedback, I'd love to hear from you!
This would be completely free up front, while we're just looking for feedback. Then, if you decide you like it, we can make sure you get a price that fits your company's budget.
I wrote a little about this on @matt last June: https://write.as/matt/the-next-stage
Essentially, we started seeing these really interesting new uses for #WriteFreely, and decided to start pursuing this "collaboration" angle as a major service we offer. It's shown a lot of promise so far, and if all continues going well, this will permanently sustain us as an independent firm building #FOSS.
