@Valium@mastodon.at No need to touch the makefile -- just need to run that one command. You should already have the source code right?

@Valium@mastodon.at Basically the application needs the static assets generated -- that's where the error is from.

So if you change into the project dir and run `make assets` before the xgo command, it should compile

@Valium@mastodon.at Does it work with this instead?

sudo bin/xgo --targets=linux/arm-7 github.com/writeas/writefreely/cmd/writefreely

Ok! Got some IP-level banning in place. Some of it kicks in automatically, but it can also be tweaked manually. This will save us time cleaning out spam accounts and posts, and improve performance a bit for you, too

Working on abuse-limiting tools for Write.as today that'll make moderation less time-consuming for us.

@geekgonecrazy Yeah good point, that's the type of stuff where I want to talk about the best ways to solve it

@geekgonecrazy No worries, thanks for taking a crack at it! I should be able to look at this tomorrow, and I'll let you know if anything jumps out at me.

Btw, I think we'll need to do some larger planning / reorganizing of go-writeas and the CLI as we get support for any WF instance ready. I'll start a forum thread on this tomorrow once I've tested things out.

As we approach v1.0 and I don't see many huge changes ahead, I'm starting on our documentation.

I'm getting the core stuff (like configuration) written in a new repository now. Everything is in plain text / Markdown, which we'll eventually use to generate nice web pages on the official project site.

Contributions are always welcome, as well as suggestions for what we should include!
