Moving to our new Musing Studio instance at https://social.musing.studio!
Going to set up a redirect now, let's see how it goes...
@sneak @apanthropist@mastodon.social Hey! Right now, Snap.as is tied pretty closely to our blogging platform, Write.as. So if you buy a Write.as Pro subscription ($9/month), you get access to Snap.as.
Are you hoping to share those full-resolution images, or just put your work online?
If your Snap.as photos weren’t showing up with the correct rotation, that issue is now fixed! Any new uploads should work great 🖼️ We wrote a bit more about this on the forum.

@marcelcosta Hi, we're working toward that! Right now Snap.as is a hosted service, but we plan to build our open source version on top of #WriteFreely.
Here's a bit of discussion about that: https://discuss.write.as/t/snap-as-leaving-alpha-soon/1921/3
@groosha Thanks! So great to hear that 😊
@groosha Nope, far from cancelled -- the self-hosted option will be built on top of #WriteFreely 🙂
Plenty development to do before that happens, though! This is just another step in that direction.

You'll notice just a few minor differences between the old and new Snap.as right now. But we have a full roadmap we're building out now, and we can't wait to share those updates in the very near future!
An update on our upcoming @snap_as migration -- in short, no planned downtime, and you'll be able to kick off the update yourself starting tomorrow (Monday, October 26).
This means a much more seamless process for everyone, where your photos and https://Snap.as pages stay online, and you can choose to update your account only when you're ready.
We're finally leaving the "alpha" development stage! As part of this, we'll need to move everyone to our new infrastructure.
Previously, we mentioned this could involve some downtime. Instead, your photos and galleries will become read-only this coming Monday (Oct. 26), and then you'll simply log in and start the migration yourself.
This week we announced that @snap_as is getting ready to leave its "alpha" status: https://we.snap.as/leaving-alpha
Initially we thought this would involve some downtime for everyone. But instead of that, we'll probably let everyone simply migrate whenever they're ready.
That means everything on the "old" Snap.as will remain live, but to upload or modify anything, you'll first need to kick off a migration for your account.
Publish and share your photos — built by the @write_as team.
